BUSCOT PARK ARCHERS

Buscot Park Archers was founded in 1975 and has around 40 members who shoot on property owned by the Nation Trust. The club is a member of the Grand National Archery Society.

Archery is a sport that can be enjoyed individually or by the whole of the family from the age of eight to eighty.

DISABLED

The club encourages and welcomes people with disabilities who want to learn and/or improve their archery.

EQUIPMENT

The club has equipment to suit beginners, which can be used freely during the first 12 months with the club. When you are ready to buy your own you can get advice from the Coaches and club members.

MEMBERSHIP

Annual Club membership costs £62.50* for adults and £25.50* for people under 18 years old.

After the first year this is payable as two half yearly payments. (*costs may vary).

CLUB DAYS

The Club shooting times are on Sundays starting at 10:00 am when Target or Field rounds are shot, and occasional competitions held. Practice evenings are held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 pm. The Target area is available for use during all other daylight hours subject to members following the clubs health and safety rules.

Junior events are organised throughout the summer and usually run on Saturdays.

We also shoot on the first Sunday each month throughout the colder months of November to March. These Frostbite shoots are fun especially round a warm fire.

In addition the club shoots on Friday* evenings from 7 to 9 pm from October to March in the Faringdon leisure centre which costs around £33* per adult per season (*the evening and costs may vary from year to year).

SOCIAL EVENTS

We hold social events throughout the year including a February dinner, Easter fun shoot, summer barbeque and of course a Christmas fun shoot.
